This set of collages were created in an altered book art journal. I really, really liked how they turned out, and wanted to "bring them out" of the book for digital prints. Since it is hard to get a really great photo of collages in this kind of book (rumpled slightly crooked pages, nothing lays flat, etc.) I used Corel Paint Shop Pro (equivalent to Photoshop, Elements or Gimp) to crop and straighten and fine tune the images.
Any piece (or pieces) you create can be a good source of images for prints or greeting cards, etc. so be sure to take "another look" at what you have made. The digital art programs provide a wonderful second chance for images tucked away in your art journals or altered books. I recommend Cropping, Straightening, and Sharpening as basic fine tuning tools.
